Show FUNERAL HELD Foreign Diplomats Escort the Body From Station to President's Home MEXICO CITY. May 24. The body' of Vcnustlano Carranza, who was ; killed at Tlaxalantongo last Thurs-; day morning, arrived here at 5:30 1 o'clock this morning and tho funeral was hold at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Only a few persons wero at the station when the train arrived as a result of several false announcements which had disappointed waiting crowds. Georcre T. Summcrlln. charge d' affairs at thoUnlted States embassy, was among tho foreign diplomats dip-lomats who escorted tho body from tho station to the Carranza home. Several persons, including Ygnaclo Bonlllas, former Mexican ambassador to tho United States, were taken from tho train early this morning while It was en route to this city and were lodged in the military prison of Tlatc-loloo. Others taken from the train and sent to prison wero Manuel Agulrrc Berlanga, secretary of the interior: Paulino Fontes, director of national railways, and Generals Francisco i Murgula, Francisco de P. Mariel. Fedorlco. Montcs, Mariano Gonzales. Pilar Sanchez, Bruno Neyrrt, Hellod-oro. Hellod-oro. Perez, Humberto Vlllola, Juan Barragan, Francisco Urqulzo ' and Rosalio Alcocer. Luis Cabrera who was reported to have been with Carranza when tho latter was killed, as not on board tho train. |
