Show Mr. and Mrs. William Mossman are visiting with relatives at Salt Lake this week. Lieut. Royal, (Sandy) Richards who has spent the past two and cne-half years in the Aluetians is spending a short furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Richards and family. Mrs. Aileen Chambers Minkler and children are leaving this week for Detroit, Mich., to visit with her husband, Corporal Ray Minkler. Mink-ler. Mrs. W. Rowley and children of Richfield, are visiting with Bishop and Mrs, Richard Roskelley for two weeks. Glen Ray Mossman who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mossman was operated on at the St. Marks hospital at Salt Lake on Friday. Mrs. Mossman accompanied her son to Salt Lake on Tuesday and Thursday Mr. Mossman and children child-ren Kenneth and Lu Dean arrived arriv-ed at Salt Lake to be there when Glen was operated on, 1 Mr. and Mrs. Milo Cantwell of Ogden had as their guests over the week end, Mrs. J. W. Kirkbride and Mrs. Wallace Raymond. Mrs. Oliver Nilson entertained Thursday afternoon at her home. Those included were Mrs. L. V. Toolson, Mrs. Helen P. Toolson, Mrs. L. W. McCann, Mrs. Parley Bingham, Mrs. Harper W. Noble and Mrs. Rinda Chambers. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served and the afternoon was spent in visiting. Lieut, ad Mi's. Leon Smith and son visited with relatives this week. Lt. Smith is in the Medical Corps in the navy at Ocean Side, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. McCann and Clair Reid and children were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Brig-ham Brig-ham Blackhurst at Arimo on Sunday. Sun-day. Floyd Bingham of California is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mis. Farley Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge Bergeson are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Sorenson. Mr. Bergeson is with th American Red Cross and has been in the midwestern area. He is now being transferred to the Pacific area with headquarters headquar-ters in San Francisco. Visiting with her sister Mrs. Amanda Miles of Palo Alto, California Cali-fornia is Mrs. Rinda Chambers. Mrs. T. B. Farr was a business visitor ati Salt Lake City Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Nelson, and Mr. and Mrs. Orval Heaps were entertained by Mr. and Ms. Clinton Clin-ton Law at a pheasant dinner at their home Saturday evening. Pvt. Jack Schwiderson and wife of Brigham City were honored at a party Saturday evening by Mrs. L. W. McCann at her home. Dinner Din-ner was served to the following guests. The honored guests, Mr and Mrs. Roy Smith, Mrs. . Prank Reese, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mc Cann, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lamb Mrs. Beth Linnartz, Mr. and Mrs' Henry O. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs' Paul Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Fulkerson, and Mr. Le Paul and Miss Lila Debeau of Brigham City The evening was spent in visiting' Mrs. Schwiderson was the former Miss Effie . Barker. Mrs. Homer Daines entertained the Junior Literary club at her home Wednesday evening. Mrs Ivan. Taylor had charge of the program and reviewed "Stephen Vincent Benet. 18 'club members were present. The next club meeting meet-ing will be held at the home of Mrs. Robert Griffiths. Lt. Sandy Richards was honored at a turkey dinner Saturday evening ev-ening by his parents, Mr and Mrs John Richards. All of Lt. Richard's brothers and sisters were ther to honor him. A no-host party was given by Mrs. Albert McCann, Mrs. Eldon Lamb, Mrs. L W. McCann Mrs Clair Reid, Mrs. Albert F. McCann and Mrs. Frank Reese of Benson for Mrs. Robert McCann of Logan Lo-gan who was observing her birthday birth-day anniversary on Friday. The afternoon was spent visiting Home on a furlough was Pvt Therman Bingham and wife and daughter Sue Ann. Pvt. Bingham is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Bingham. Mrs. Bingham and daughter will return to Tennessee to the home of her parents and Pvt. Bingham will go to Arkansas to his new camp. |
