A record price of ifb.zft a pouna resulted from a breath-taking surge of bidding at the American Royal show here when "Skeeter," a red Shorthorn steer that had been named Grand Champion over all breeds, was auctioned off The champion, owned by Ray Gene Cinnamon, Garber, Okla., agricultural student, netted a total of $8,847.60 with added prize money, and is said to be the greatest aggregate reward any individual has ever received from the exhibition and sale of a single steer "Skeeter" was bought by Allen Eatherton of the American Meat Co here and was immediately donated to Father Flannigan's Boy's Town Before Father Flanagan received the animal, it was auctioned and reauctioned and finally the prized Shorthorn went to Boys Town along with an additional $1,600. The champ is shown above with Clinton Clin-ton K Tomson, secretary of the American Shorthorn Breeders, handing hand-ing young Cinnamon one of his prize checks. The man in the center is Alex Edgar.
