Show MORONI i By Special Correspondence Funeral services for Joseph Faux were held Thursday afternoon in the West ward chapel. The choir sang "My Father Knows,' and "Take Courage Saints." Prayers were offered by Bishop Elmo El-mo Irons and Daniel Anderson. The speakers were Orlando Bradley, Soren C. Nielsen, and Bishop Ephraim Eph-raim Nelson. Duet "The Upper Garden," Mrs. Elmo Irons and Mrs. P. J. Draper, Mrs. Blain Draper, accompanist. Duet "No Night There," Mrs. Earl Hansen of Fountain Green, Mrs. Lawrence Larsen, Mrs. Floyd Sperry. accompanist. Solo "One Fleeting Hour," Mrs. Ernest Anderson with Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes, piano, Durane Sorensen, violin. People from out of town who came to attend the funeral were Ferry J. Faux, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Roy Storey, Heiner; Mrs. Lauritz Nielsen, Beaver: Mrs. Chauncey Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bagnall, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Candland of Chester, and Mr. and Mrs. Collard of Fountain Green, Mrs. Clifton Bradley left Thursday to join her husband at McGill, Nevada. Ne-vada. Mrs. James Bolton of Park City has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. John Irons, for the past week. Mrs. Hilda Weaver, Miss Keston Sorensen. Burnise Hardy and Donavee Shaw were operated on at the Dice hospital last week. The Sorosis club met at the usual place Thursday afternoon. An article, ar-ticle, "Checking up on the Baby," was given by Mrs. E. D. Anderson. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Ray Anderson and Mrs. N. P. Sorensen Soren-sen to the following members: Mrs. Joe Prestwich, Mrs. William Olsen, Mrs. Mert Draper, Mrs. Lewis Black-ham, Black-ham, Mrs. James Larsen, Mrs. Elmo Irons, Mrs. Ophelia Rhodes, Mrs. E. W. Stucki, Mrs. Emerson Blackham, Mrs. Ernest Blackham, Mrs. Blaine Draper, Mrs. Russel Bailey, Mrs. Morgan Lamb. Mrs. E. D. Anderson, Mrs. Ellis Draper and Mrs. Marvin Anderson. Mrs. Roy Storey of Heiner Hein-er and Mrs. Harris Larsen were special spec-ial guests. Saturday the Boy Scouts Troupe number 1 East ward hauled and chopped chop-ped three loads of wood for widows in town. In the evening they held an auction sale at the Kozy Theatre and received $35 to their credit to be used for their necessities. Miss Vivian Anderson spent the weekend at Fairview visiting friends. Mrs. H. D. Christensen returned to her home in Oakland, California, Sunday, Sun-day, after spending a month with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson visited vis-ited relatives in Salt Lake City and jOpden this week. ! Mr. and Mrs. Will Morley announce the birth of a daughter. |
