Show Celebrates 50th Birthday C. W. Sorensen celebrated his Fiftieth Birihday Anniversary at his home in this city last Satuiday evening, November 1st. It was one of the most elaborate parties given for some time in the city. The evening's eve-ning's pleasures were interesting from the beginning. J. W. Cherry, acted as Toastmaster during the entertainment. Choice musical selections were furnished by J. M. Boyden, Ida Merz, Ellis and Max Moffet of Manti, Interesting toasts and sentiments were given by James Monsen, A. Johnson, F. C. Jensen, Mrs. J. W. Cherry, N. S. Neilson, Mrs. Wm. Olsen, Peter Matson, Mrs. H. C. Jacobs, Bishop James Larsen, Mrs. F. C. Jensen, Wm. Olson, S. E. Jensen, and John H. Seely. There were eighty two guests seated at tie table while the hostess served a fiv. course dinner. A beautiful gold watch was given to Mr. Sorensen Soren-sen by those who were invited. Pres. C. N. Lund gave the presentation speech. Many beautiful ferns and whito chrysanthemums were used in decorating the rooms. |
