Show Services Held In Logan Ward For LuRu Hale Funeral services for Mrs. LuRu Stapley Hale, wife of Ferrin A. Hale of Logan, were held in the Logan 7th ward chapel Saturday at noon. Mrs. Hale died at the family home last Thursday morning, morn-ing, after an illness of several months. She was born in Loa, Wayne county, Dec. 25,1903, a daughter of Mahonri and Rebecca Williams Stapley. Her parents were pioneers of this community, moving here in 1908, living first at Hinckley and then at Delta. Her school years were spent here, and she took part in many school and church activities, acti-vities, especially in music, as a singer. She was married to Mr. Hale June 14, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS temple, and had lived in Logan since 1938. Before that the family had lived in Salt Lake City and Hyde Park. She was active in the Logan 7th ward, and had served as chorister and as a member of the Primary association. Mrs. Hale was in Delta May 15, when her parents celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. She and her family took part in the I program given that night. x Surviving are her hsuband, and three children, Kenneth Coy, Jean-een Jean-een and Farrin Quinn Hale, all of Logan; her parents, and nine brothers bro-thers and sisters, Clayton M. Stapley, Stap-ley, Mrs. Luella Maxfield, Evelyn D. Stapley, Mrs. Dale Bishop, Mrs. B"yl Callister, and Park Stapley, all of Delta; Elton Stapley, Cedar Clty; Campbell Stapley, Sandy; ! and Mrs. Vefena Rymer, Torrey. AH of her family from Delta attended at-tended the services. Burial was in the family plot in the Logan cemetery. |
