Show Wed InSt.GeorgeTemple Interesting in social circles of southern Utah is the marriage of Miss Josephine White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. 'Dennis White of Beaver, and Karl Murdock of Long Beach, California, a son of Mrs. Ivan McKnight of South Mil-ford, Mil-ford, reads a Beaver item in the society section of last Sunday's Tribune. The wedding took place fiaturdyin the St. George L. D. S. temple, where the ceremony was performed by Harold Snow. Immediately Im-mediately following the ceremony the young couple left for Long Beach to make their home. The bride was entertained ex. tensively preceding her marriage. Mrs. Harold Cline of Milford, sister sis-ter of the bridegroom, entertained entertain-ed at a dinner party at her home June 6 in honor of the bride, and on Monday evening the mother of the bride and two sisters, Miss Lois White and Mrs. Clara Carter, entertained close friends at a trousseau tea at the White home. Miss Martha Louise Hurst, Miss Ann Price, Misses Jane and Dixie Law entertained for the bride Wednesday evening at the Hurst home and the Beaver L. D. S. stake M. I. A. board entertained for the bride, who was a board member, Thursday, evening at the home of Miss Marian Tolton, stake Y. W. M. I. A. president. The bride is a graduate of Brigham Young university where she w.s affiliated with Les Ce-celienne Ce-celienne social unit and the Phi Delta Pi physical education national na-tional fraternity. She also played play-ed in the university orchestra. She has taught several years in Mil-ford Mil-ford and Beaver high schools. The bridegroom is a graduate of Mil. ford high school and a former student stu-dent of Utah State Agricultural college at Logan. He was prominent promi-nent in high school athletics and played on the M-Men's basketball team for several seasons. |
