Show PURPORTED BLAZE CAUSES COMMOTION BURNING FUMES BRING FIRE LABS C!o7isiderable excitement was occasioned oc-casioned Tuesday, shortly after noon, when the fire alarm blew, and Mrs. Kelly's establshment on Main street das reported on fire. The run by the fire department was made in jig time, and on their arrival, it was found that the. blaze was extinguished. ex-tinguished. No damage was done to the place. Bill Cochrane received bad burns on his arm, and Mrs. Peckham also received slight burns on her arm. The alarm was caused by fume? burning off the napha cleaning liquid. An early report was to tie effect that explosive gas had caused a blar.e, but this was in error, as Mrs. Kelley states that there is no explosive gas handled at her shop. The dry-cleaning equipment and machinery was not injured in any way through the burning fumes. |
