Show Death at Franklin FRANKLIN, Idaho, Feb. 25,-Eld-er Joseph J. Hill returned homo from a California mission a few days ago, and on Sunday at the regular meeting gave a good report of his missionary labors, having been In the mission field about 20 months. From general appearance we Judge his mission has been a pleasant one, and his return home Is quite agreeable. Mrs. Bucklty Dead. On Saturday evening, Mrs. Jane Buckley, wife of Edmond Buckley of this place, died after an Illness of about live weeks, during which time she had been suffering with La grippe which settled on her lungs and resulted result-ed In her death. Tho funeral service was held to-day, a largo number of relatives and friends assembling to show respect to her and tho bereft family. The speakers referred to her as being a sincere and faithful Latter-day-saint, having left father, mother and, friends and native land for tho gospel's sake. She was also a devoted wife and an affectionate and loving mother. Tho speakers were Wm. M. Dnlncs, Sophia Merrick, Sarah Lloyd 1. II. Nash, J. J. III1I and S: Ci Paik-Inson Paik-Inson Patriarch S. R. Parkinson made tho opening prayer, Hyrum Hatch the benediction, T. II. Durant made the dedicatory prajer at tho cemetery. Tho musical numbers were appropriate and the floral decorations were very beautiful. An Accident. On Saturday evening last Mrs. Amanda Shumway, while walking walk-ing on the Ice near her home, stepped on a small piece of board which slip-p:d slip-p:d from under her and with great forco slio fell, striking her arm against tho corner ot the house. Her arm was broken at the wrist. Dr. G. W. States wasatonco stnt for and set the same and left her feeling much Improved. |
