Show Father Of Cedar Man Dies-Of Paralytic Stroke William H. Kesler, 79, owner and operator of Cove Fort since 1902, and futher of Abe Kesler of Cedar City, rtied Saturday evening at his home in Fillmore of a paralytic stroke. Fumral services were conducted In Fillmore Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the Fillmore city cemetery. Mr. Kesler was born In St. Thomas Tho-mas Nevada, July 2, 1868. a son of Joseph Frederic and Annie Pitts Kesler. He moved with his parents to Salt Lake City when a child, where they resided for a time before be-fore making their home In Pan-guitch. Pan-guitch. He married Sarah A. Losee. March 4, 1903, in Pangultch. In 1902 he purchased Cove Fort, focus of much ' southern Utah pioneer history, his-tory, and made his home there. He operated a ranch, tourist accommodations accommo-dations and general merchandise .tore. Several years ago he established estab-lished his home In Fillmore, continuing con-tinuing operation of the store In the historic fort. Surviving are his widow, and 11 sons and daughters, Otto Kesler, Cove Fort; Farrel, Dell, Raymond and Grant Kesler and Mrs. Verl Ashby, Fillmore; Murray Kesler and Mrs. Anna Fartherlngham, Beaver; Mrs. LaRae Johnson, Logan; Abe Kesler, Cedar City, and Mrs. Nell Ingram, Nephl; 89 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. |
