Show Local Lady Receives Details oi Son's Death in Japan Mrs. Hannah Foster received word yesterday that her son Fred Foster, who had died in Japan on April 29, had died of a heart attack. The word was received from the commanding officer in charge of the base where Fred was a civilian employee. Mrs. Foster was notified last week of her son's death, but no information as to the cause of death was received at that time. I She was informed by the com-' com-' manding officer that her son was spending the week end at a resort re-sort near Atami, when he was suddenly taken ill. A Japanese doctor was summoned immediately, immedi-ately, and an ambulance from the nearest hospital at Yokohama, Yokoha-ma, was asked for. However, he succumbed shortly afterwards. Word has also been received that the body was shipped from Japan vested iy and will arrive at San Francisco on May 21 or 22. The body will be brought to Cedar City for burial, and funeral fun-eral services will be conducted here. The exact date of the services ser-vices have not yet been determined. |
