Show !j Obituary. h -. Smedley. J It Mas a mo?t painful announcement, j sad and unexpected, that came to the j friends of Will Smedley. m hen they heard of his untimely death. Few-young Few-young men had so many friends in every ev-ery walk cf life friends m ho knew and loved him for his kind heart and winning win-ning affable manner. The deceased was born in Leavenworth. Leaven-worth. Kan., and was 31 years old. He received hi? education for several yearp from private teachers, and later at Al! Hallows college in this city. For several sev-eral years past he was away from Salt Lake, but the friends of his boyhood alwayp cherished the kindest memories oC him. He was a manly, attractive boy, of a proud, sensitive disposition, very tender ten-der and affectionate to those he loved, sincere and true in his friendships. The bereaved father, mother and family fam-ily have the sympathy of all in their great grief. Only the infinite com pa?- sion of God can sustain them iiv this ' hour of trial. Their only comfort can come from One, who centuries ago. suffered every pang the human heart is asked to bear. They can lay their loved one away forever, for-ever, Mith grief-laden hearts it is true, but still full of hope and confidence in the tender judgment and mercy of the One Mho understands all; the tender heart of Him to whom can be trusted all faults and failures, too. Only the tenderest of memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew- generous, proud-hearted Will Smedley. Hause. With deep regret does the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Catholic chronicle the death of Mrs. Joseph Hause, which occurred during dur-ing the pa?t week. A faithful Mife, a kindly neighbor and in every sense an estimable woman, wo-man, her death is deplorable. The sympathy of all is extended to the devoted husband in the loss he has sustained. Liggan. The news of the death of Mrs. Liggan Lig-gan caused deep regret among hosts of friends and sincere sympathy is extended extend-ed to the bereaved daughters, Mho are prostrated with grief. May they be comforted in their bereavement be-reavement in knowing that their dear one died as. she lived, a truly devout Christian woman and mother; and the loving memory of such a mother is the grandest heritage. She fell asleep with God's peace upon her, and her "waking was sweet. May she rest in peace! The funeral will occur from St. Mary's Ma-ry's cathedral this (Saturday) morning. morn-ing. Mass will be celebrated at 10 j o'clock. Marine. Th funeral services over the late Patrick Marine Mere held last Monday from St. Patrick's church. Mass M-aS celebrated at 10 o'clock by Rev. Father Curran, Mho preached the funeral ser mon. The sympathy of a legion of friends is extended to the bereaved family. The deceased Mas a bright, clever young man, gifted with many good qualities, but the last few years of his life Mere hadoM-ed by constant illness, and death Mas to him a blessed relief. May he rest in peace! . Kinsella. Patrick Kinsella, a well known pioneer pio-neer miner, died last Aveek in this city. His funeral occurred on Tuesday from O'Donnell's undertaking parlors, Rev. Father Curran officiating. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace! Rodrique. Mr. and Mrs. William Roderique are mourning the death of their little son, w ho died on Monday. The sympathy of many friends is extended ex-tended to them in their bereavement. May they be comforted with the knowledge knowl-edge that their lovely, winsome babe has gone to heaven to the glorious sunshine sun-shine of God's presence, safe forever in His tender care! |
