Show Cannon Claims Bride In August Rites " . ' , .7 Miss Lorilee Heaton Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn W. Heaton, Panguitch, announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Lorilee Heaton, to Donald E. Cannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Cannon, Bloomington, Utah, formerly of Thousand Oaks, California. The couple were married August 28 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Elder LeGrande Richards, a great uncle of the groom, officiated. The bride graduated from Panguitch High School and has completed her studies at Brigham Young University in Secretarial Technology. She is presently employed em-ployed in Provo. The bridegroom graduated from Thousand Oaks High School and has attended Brigham Young University. He will continue his studies in the Institute of Professional Accountancy at the university this fall. He has filled an LDS mission to the Australian-Melbourne Australian-Melbourne Mission. The family of the bride has invited friends and relatives to attend a reception in honor of the newlyweds on Saturday, September 6 from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Panguitch LDS Stake Center. Record Breaking Striped Bass Caught Wayne Gustaveson and Tom Pettengill, witnessed wit-nessed the weigh-in which took place on certified scales at Wahweap Marina. A new record striped-bass striped-bass has been caught at Lake Powell recently, shattering the old record of 11 pounds 8 ounces. The new record-breaking record-breaking fish was caught August 18 by Mr. G. Hanaoka, of Torrance, California. This fish weighed 17 pounds 7 ounces. It was taken in the narrows between Warm Creek and Padre Bay on the south end of Lake Powell. It took a green waterdog bomber lure being trolled in 20 feet of water. Utah Wildlife Resources biologists, relatives. Ora and Rhoda Shafer had daughter Donna and family here for a visit before school started. Olaf Shakespears had daughter Vicki and husband of Provo for the weekend. 1 Wynona Henderson and three daughters from Salt Lake City visited with parents Kenneth Goulding and other relatives. The Sunday service program was presented by Kenneth and Elsie Goulding and Bernice. Goulding, speakers and a son by Wynona Henderson and Kenneth Goulding, Jr. , and an organ solo by Wynona. Melvin and Clara Quilter and family of Bountiful visited relatives and friends here and in Tropic with the Bryan Johnsons and Mark of Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Victor Phillips announces the forthcoming marriage of daughter Jenny Lynn to Mr. Karl Taylor Partner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Partner of Page, Ariz, on the 12 of September. They will be married in the St. George Temple. Tropic over the weekend helping them move. The Owen Shakespears received word that their grandson, Robert Hogan married Julie Robinson in Texas. Robert is the son of Weldon and Luana Hogan, former Tropic residents. Alta Cowley and Leland and Clele Clark, visited the Owen Shakespears. The county Senior Citizens party was a great success in Red Canyon, Clint Mecham is working in Zion Canyon. Garnet Barton and family visited twith the Bud Mechams and Margie Mecham. Marilyn Murdock visited with the Wallace Otts. The DAle LeFevre family, Ellensburg, Wash, spent a week with the Herman Pollocks and Flora LeFevre. Lynn and Sonia Allen and daughters visited with the Royal Alveys and Truie Allen. Dotty Francis visited Keela Mangum. Primary graduation was held Tuesday. Elziabeth Barton had her 83rd birthday Saturday. The Si Munsons celebrated their fifty second wedding anniversary. an-niversary. The Ferrell Brinkerhoffs took their son to Salt Lake City for surgery. Newly appointed leaders in the Relief Society for the ward are: Verdella Nielson, quilts; Gwen Brinkerhoff, crafts; Carma Barton, welfare; Louise Ott, activation, missionary; Glenna Pollock, foods; Stacey Pollcok, single adult; Jeannie Pollock, beautification; LaRene Munson, nursery; Clella Littlefield, homemaking leader. The Ira Littlefields are enjoying a visit from their daughter, Linda and family from California. Ruth Baugh made a I trip to Provo to take daughter Kelly to enroll t the BYU.
