Show Tropic Topics Mia Adair Oh, Happy Day, Monday! The rains came and we had a day of no dust. It seemed very nice to be able to breathe good, clean fresh air once again. Shaunna Smith and sons from Phoenix are visiting with the Ben Riddles. The Larry Adair family spent the weekend with his parents in Tropic. Members of the John H. Johnson family were one hundred and twenty three in all, attending the reunion held at the King Creek Camp area. Zona Hall, Flora LeFevre, Bernard Johnson, Irene Kessie Heywood was a recent visitor at the Give Bybee home. Also spending the weekend were Mary Ann and Rusty Castor from Tooele. Diane Davidson and Mr. and Mrs. Heywood, brother of Louise Ott, from California were at the Stan Ott home. The Otts attended the wedding wed-ding for their niece on Friday in St. George. We are happy to sec I.uana Riddle home from the hospital. Ann Griffin and Lucy Shakespcar are both recovering from recent hospitalizations. Hewlen Beatty spent a few days visiting with her parents, the Ira Lit-tlefields. Lit-tlefields. Royce and Suzann Griffin spent a bit of time on the highway between Tropic and Henrieville, visiting their parents Berthene Griffin and the Charley Wintchs, taking in reunions and visiting old friends before returning to their home in Midland, Texas. A special fireside and activity is planned for all young ladies and young men of MIA age tonight. They are to meet at the church at 6 p.m. LeFevre, Mr. r.nd Mrs. Verland Rose, Mr. and Mrs. MonDell Syrett, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jolley, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Littlefield, Danny Shakespear, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair attended at-tended the class of 61 reunion at the high school Saturday. The Griffins recevied a special award for traveling the farthest, from Midland, Texas to the reunion. The Jack, Gene and Kirk families attended the Chynowcth reunion in Hillsdale, and helped Roxie Chynoweth celebtate her birthday. Jerry Mccham and family visited with the Malen Meehams. Margaret and Scott Mecham made a trip to Salt Lake for dental appointments. Thanks go to Maureen Mangum for the many hours she spent to organize and help our Little League players this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Peterson of Salt Lake City visited the Arnold Adairs. Flora LeFevre had her sons LaMar, John, Ellis and Reed, and daughter Bonnie home for the family reunion. The Gerald Adairs celebrated their golden wedding with a family dinner at Foster's Steak House. Family members present included son Brent and family from Minneapolis, daughters Phyllis Vauterlaus from Preston, Idaho; Lela Johnson from Sierra Vsita, Arizona and Mary Ann Snowden, Berkley Heights, New Jersey and ' all of their families. Also 1 their brothers and sisters from Tropic and Nevada. The Si Munsons had all of their family members home over the weekend. Munson, Ina Adair and Ora Brinkerhoff and their families were presnt. The Adrian Pollocks enjoyed a visit from their daughter Darlene and family. Margaret Shakespear made a trip to Logan to have her eyes checked. The Wallace Otts have their daughters Mari'yn Murdock and son from Maryland, daughter Sandra Houston and son from Las Vegas, and daughter Kathy Davis and family from Washington visiting with them. Mr. and Mr. Kent Wintch were in Moab to hear son Rett give his mission report. Melody Richards enjoyed en-joyed a visit from her parents from McGill, Nevada. The Charles Wintch's enjoyed a visit from their grandson David Woodbury Wood-bury over the weekend. There were so many out of town visitors and family members to the Ott reunion that I cannot list them all without . missing someone. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Manugm, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mangum, LuElla Mangum and LeRene Munson attended the welcome home report of missionary Blake Hobon in Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair spent two days in Salt Lake City attending the Andrew Wilson family reunion and visiting with their daughter and family. The Afton Shakespears had all of their family home over the weekend. They attended the wedding of their daughter Mary Jo and Bill Beatty in Orderville Friday and the Ott reunion in Tropic Saturday.
