Show BLM Council Readies Meet in Hanksville The Bureau of Land Management's Richfield District Advisory Council will meet September 17 and 18 at Hanksville. The first day of the meeting will consist of a field tour. The council will leave the BLM office in Hanksville at 8:00 a.m. to tour some of the key features of the .Henry Mountain Resource Area. The council will reconvene re-convene at the Hanksville office at 8:00 a.m. on September 18th to discuss wilderness recom-menations recom-menations and land-use alternatives which could affect over 1.6 million acres of public land in the resource area. Also scheduled for discussion is a status update on the State of Utah's proposals for land exchanges in the Richfield Rich-field District. Public statements to the council will be accepted ac-cepted on September 18. Persons wishing to address ad-dress the council should contact Terr! The Richfield District Advisory Council is one of five councils in Utah. The council advises the District Manager concerning con-cerning the multiple-use management of over 7,000,000 acres of public land in Juab, Millard, Sevier, Piute, Sanpete, Wayne, and a portion of Garfield counties. |
