Show Mahala H. Hughes PANGUITCH - Velta Mahala Hepworth Hughes, 73, Utah, died May 28, 1999, in Panguitch. She was born May 8, 1926, in Elba, Ida., to William Seth and Ellen Jane Crofts Hepworth. She married William Henry "Bill" Hughes, September Sep-tember 9, 1949 in Panguitch. She is survived by husband, Bill of Panguitch; children, John W. (Shirley) Hughes, Panguitch; Velta Dean (Gary) Nelson; Lynae (Danny) Fletcher; and Debra Hughes all of Salina; 14 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, William Arlo Hepworth, Clarkston, Washington. Wash-ington. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ellen Pope and Leitha Hepworth. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in the Panguitch Pan-guitch 4th LDS Ward Chapel with bishop Kelly Holman officiating. Prelude and postlude music was offered by Barbara Heaton. A family prayer was given by Gary B. Nelson, a son-in-law. The invocation was offered Jean Julander, followed by a musical selection "Angels Among Us" by grandson Ricky "B. Nelson. Tributes were given by Velta Dean Nelson, a daughter and John Torgerson, followed by a musical selection " If You Come Back From Heaven" by Aprilee Nelson, a granddaughter. Remarks were given by Clint Pollock and bishop Kelly Holman, followed by a musical selection, "Remember Me", by Ricky B. Nelson, Nel-son, and by Aprilee Nelson. The benediction was offered by I V 7 Vj 1 T' - TJ Mahala H. Hughes Ilia May Blake, a sister-in-law, with the dedication of the grave by Denice Hughes, a nephew. Pallbearers were Kenny John Hughes, Ricky B. Nelson, Joshua Bill Hughes, Daniel B. Fletcher, Bobby. Joe Nelson, Kevin Gary Nelson, Gary B. Nelson and Danny Fletcher. Honorary Pallbearers were Shawn Phillip Hughes, Nicholas Dean Nelson, Jade Ashley Deuel, Jylor Cameron Walsh, Preslee Hanna Hughes, Jansen Osmyn Deuel, Dakota Shane Walsh, Billy Joe Fletcher, Jostin Dean Deuel, Christopher William Nelson, John Hughes, Shane Cameron Walsh, and Val Dean Deuel.
