Three Davis schools suffer soccer losses By G.BRETT HART WOODS CROSS-For the Woods Cross girls' soccer team, last week was like a walk through the park. For the rest of. the South Davis girls' soccer teams, last week was also like a walk through the park-Central park-Central Park. WOODS CROSS Led by Pam Franklin's six goals, Woods Cross easily dominated West High 14-0 Sept. 18. On Sept. 20, the Wildcats added another win to their record beating up on Granite 17-0. Franklin had five goals in the first 20 minutes of play. BOUNTIFUL Bountiful escaped the rain Sept 18 as Tooele does not feature a girls' soccer team, but took its lumps Sept. 20 losing to Jordan in overtime 5-3. DAVIS Davis High lost to the Roy High Royals 5-2 on Sept. 19. In spite of being behind 5-0 with 15 minutes to go, the Darts refused to give up, scoring two goals in the final minutes of the game. VIEWMONT The Viewmont Vikings lost a disappointing match to the Weber Warriors on Sept. 19 2-1. The Vikes, who have struggled in their last three games, found no mercy at the hands of the Roy High Royals yesterday. Viewmont lost 4-1 at Roy. |
