Show Enthusiastic Meeting Home and School Organization Holds Election. Revises By-Laws The Home and School Organization held an enthusiastic meeting at the High School Wednesday evening, with a lair sized attendance. Onn of the objects of the meeting .v.'ts the amending of the by-laws, so as i-o pvrinit of the election of otlicers jO occur on the Thursday before the opening of the rail lerm, instead of in October, as has been the rule. This was accomplished and an election held, vvhich resulted asfollows; President E. H. Street; Secretary, H. F. Kennaby; Treasurer, E. H. Bird; thirst Vice President, Mrs. W. F. Oottrell; Second Vice President, Mrs. Julia A. Smiihson. Principal Miner addressed the meeting, meet-ing, calling upon the parents and he public to co-operate with the school interests County SuperiutendentWhile was also present and addressed the gathering, encouragiug the work so auspiciously begun and promising -support aud co operation. Bishop Burns gave a brief but interesting talk on general school matters. Those attending the meeting were impressed with the fact that .Milford has alive, wide-awake teaching force in her schools. |
