Show IN RAIlWAY CIRCLES The Fu Story of Shulzss Qigan = tic Frauds LAND SALES AT TACOMA A SUIT TO RECOVER YEARLY HALF A MiLLION It Is Against the Northern Pacific Railway Company The Southern Pacific Plaices a Reduction oft y of-t Per Cent on Iron Articles from Pueblo to Frisco SEATTLE Wash May 3The papers in a sensational suit in the United States court have been served It is the suit of L G Dillman the prominent real estate dealer of Spokane against the Northern Pacific Railway company and in the complaint com-plaint he tells in full the story of the gigantic frauds practiced by Shulze in connection with the sale of lands in and adjacent to Spokane Dillman asks for the return of 5312000 of which he says he was deliberately defrauded de-frauded for 112400 damages which he claims to have sunered by reason by false representations and for the further sum of 65000 which he claims to have paid out on promissory notes signed in behalf of the road The suit is directed against Receivers McHenry and Bigelow of the eastern district dis-trict and Receiver Burleigh of this district dis-trict and also against the Farmers Loan Trust company as holding a mortgage on the Northern Pacific the complaint claiming that the money has passed into the hands of the receivers and has been used by them to pay interest on the mortgage and that they now hold the balance in the treasury of which they have control Dillman states that the receivers are perfectly willing to make a proper adjudication adju-dication if the courts can decree the real amount of the indebtedness He asks that the deeds to the Spokane property be declared deeds for his benefit and that the property be excluded from the mortgage mort-gage held by the Farmers Loan Trust company He asks that all persons be I enjoined from taking possession of the property until an investigation of the charges made by him can be had and that the reorganization or passing of the I road from the hands of receivers into those of bondholders be stayed or held I subject and subordinate to his rights I and those rights shall be decreed by the I court |
