May 1, the beautiful home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Daly, on 410 West Fourth street, was made glad by the arrival in the family circle of a big bouncing baby boy. whose advent was hailed by the many friends of the parents with the usual congratulations and good wishes. Father Callahan - of St. Patrick's Pat-rick's church, Butte, paid a visit to Anaconda on Tuesday.. 1 4-r Rev. T. H. Cummings of Sligo, Ireland, Ire-land, who has been visiting Anaconda for the past week, delivered an able address on Monday evening: at a joint meeting of A. O. H. and the Daughters of Erin. Father Cummings will shortly short-ly leave for Denver, Colo., but will return re-turn to deliver a lecture here in June at the request of friends. The subject of his lecture will be "The Queen's Visit "---" r-- a forceful and a polished speaker, and during his brief visit to Anaconda has made many warm friends. The flower garden at St. Ann's hospital hos-pital will soon be a siRht worth soins1 to see. The garden space south of the main building: has been neatly laid out in beds and seeds of flowers of all descriptions de-scriptions have been planted. Some of them are now up and as the season advances ad-vances and they begin to come out in bloom the garden will be a beautiful and attractive spot. Flowers are the special fancy of Sister Balbina, and the planting and potting of the flowers have been done under her supervision. The garden work has been done by PZn-gineer PZn-gineer Mike McG:ady, and he also takes great pride in the growing plants. |
