Show IN SPRINGTIME. Yon lofty height so lately brown. Once more hath donned a hue; The earth has lost its wintry frown, And skies have changed from grey to blue.- The southern breezes gently blow. And softly fan the forest trees. While on the rippling waters (low, j To join the distant, shimmering seas. I The morning dew-drops softly rest I'pon each flower fair and small, And from the mountain's lofty crest We see the sparkling waters fall. Once more the robin sweetly sings. For now he dwells in northern climes; With songs of thrush the forest rings, ' Like unto vesper bells' soft chimes. But Spring, with all its beauties rare.
