Show The Enterprise Review , December 15, 1976 Page 4b New Business Filings Trail Previous Months9 Record During November the number of new businesses registered and new incorporation filed indicated an apparent slowdown, when compared to the number registered during year. The County Business License Department reported registering 3.2 percent fewer licenses during November than during October, a drop from Octobers total of 92 to Novembers total of 89. The City Business License Department reported registering 81 new business licenses during November, down from 102 registered during October, a decrease of 20.5 percent. Neither the city nor the county have retained records of last years licensing October. The number of new corporations filed in the state fell by 2.8 percent in November compared to October, however the 1976 figure for November was nearly 20 percent higher than the total filed during the same month last year. The Secretary of State office reported filing 239 new corporations during November, 1976, compared to 191 filed during November 1975 and 246 during October this activity.
