Brown and Mrs. Elmer Willimott of ,Lehi, were Wednesday visitors of Mrs. Leonard Bates. The Relief Society will hold their annual bazar Friday afternoon and evening beginning at 3 p. m. The evening's program will consist of two one-act plays, singing, etc'. ! ALPINE NEWS Mrs. H. Bates, Reporter. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Strong, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Watkins and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hall and children pleasantly pleas-antly surprised their father, M'r. E. E. Hall, at a birthday dinner Sunday, December Sth in honor of his 76th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Hall were married fifty-five years ago and are the parents par-ents of sixteen children, fourteen ot whom are still living. Sixty-seven grandchildren and seventeen greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren are also living. Mr. and Mrs. Hall came here from Kansas twenty years ago and made their home in Alpine until some five years ago when they moved to American Amer-ican Fork where they now reside. Both are enjoying excellent health. The Daughters of the Mountain-ville Mountain-ville Camp Pioneers held their regular regu-lar monthly meeting Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. James Smith. A history of the life of William Will-iam IJ. Strong was read by his daughter, daught-er, Mrs. Emma S. Jensen, of Provo. A duet was rendered by Mrs. E. W. Burgess and Mrs. E. M. Devey. A chapter of the History of Utah was given by Mrs. Ida C. Cameron; solo by Miss Dicie A. Frisbie of Salt Lake; reading, Mrs. LaVee Varney of American Ameri-can Fork; remarks, President Jose- |
