Show f1any Road Repairs Being Made In City City council convened in regular session December 7, and discussed the following business. Chairman Bezzant of Streets, reported re-ported that the street crossings in the citv had been repaired as ordered, also the trucks. Mr. Moore recommended that work on the band stand be commenced com-menced at orce and reported that the Daughters of the Pioneers wished to commence work on the erection ot the Log Cabin as soon as possible. Chairman Moore also reported that j the work on the Library building wa now satisfactorily completed. n that with, permission of the other members of his committee, contract had been let to Archie Nlelson and Randolph Benson to grade and gravel the street from the John Newman corner, east to Soren Sorenson's, for the sum of $75.00. It was also decided decid-ed by the Street committee to install six additional street lights in the city. Motion was made by Chairman Bezzant that the city enter into a three year street lighting contract with the Utah Power & Light Co. for 78 100 c.p. and 4 400 c. p. lights and that contract be properly executed and delivered. In response to a petition signed by a number of property owners of Main street, Chairman Bezzant was authorized to have the street washed The petition presented by M. S. Chairman Lim of the Waterworks committee reported a Treasurers receipt re-ceipt of 529.56 for sale of old wood pipe, also that the inch meter had been installed at the service line of A. Lee Romero as requested by him. In the matter of ordering pipe for the re-placement work to be under- taken next spring, a motion was made that this be left in the hands of the Waterworks committee with, power pow-er to act. Chairman Linebaugh. of License & Finance, reported that he had been in communication With the city attorney relative to the pooling of coal and had been advised to let the matter stand for the present. - Chairpan Moore of City Property reported the pipe installed at Pioneer Grove also the paths graveled, the work of graveling the paths being done entirely by donation, the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce furnishing fuel for |
