Dr. and Mrs. Richards attended to business while Mrs. Tuttle visited with her mother, Mrs. S. E. Hale. Mrs. W. E. Duncan and Mrs. J. P. Rock of Salt Lake City, called on friends In this city Sunday. Miss Florence Duncan, who was honor guest at a shower party the previous evening, accompanied them home. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Birk attended the Thurgood-Elliot wedding reception recep-tion In Provo last Friday evening. Among the enjoyable social events of the week was the party given yesterday afternoon by members of the Grant family in honor of the 70th birthday anniversary of their mother, Mrs. Rose H. Grant. The entertainment entertain-ment was given at the honored guest's home, and consisted of games and music, followed by supper. There were forty present, many from out of town. Mrs. Grant was presented with numerous lovely gifts from those present. Miss Atha Baum entertained the members of the First Ward New Testament Test-ament class, of which she is instructor, instruct-or, at a Christmas tree party Saturday evening at her home. A beautifully lighted tree stood in one corner of the room, and holiday symbols and suggestions were also employed in the decorating theme. Those present exchanged gifts in keeping with the Christmas tradition. Games and music were the entertaining diversions, diver-sions, after which a lunch was served. Those present included the following: follow-ing: Thelma .Pulley, Effle Huggard, Alice Hallsey, Mayza Rushton, Millie ! "Steele, Fern Robinson, Ada Wright, Mabel Huggard, Howard Bush, Max Nelson, Stanford Steele, Clark Cond-er, Cond-er, John Brown, LeGrande Wilde and Ray Robinson. Miss Mildred ' Baum assisted the hostess in entertaining. Mrs. Vernon Holindrake entertained entertain-ed last Monday afternoon in honor of the tenth birthday anniversary of her daughter, Kathryn. Twenty-four little guests enjoyed games, Music and refreshments. The following relatives and friends spent last Friday here visiting with Mrs. Emily Jorden at the home of her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Frank . Bush: Mrs. Ruth Hatton, of Los Angeles, California. The visitors were also guests at dinner that evening at the Bush home.
