The Relief Society officers of the Windsor ward held a meeting at the James Marrott home Thursday evening. even-ing. Mrs. David Thorne entertained Tuesday evening In honor of her husband's hus-band's 79th birthday. The unique feature of the social was a huge birthday birth-day cake containing 79 candles. The evening was spent In social chat and a program by members of the family. Merck at their home. The Second Ward Bishopric and choir members fostered the program. Tile evening was spent in social chat and an impromptu musical program. Lowe of the Windsor ward has been employed at the Couny Court House the past week assisting as-sisting with the collection of taxes. , The Sunday School officers and teachers of the Windsor ward held a business meeting Wednesday evening. After tlie meeting, a social hour and refreshments were enjoyed. , Mrs. Eetlin of the Agricultural College will be at Sunday School Union meeting Sunday, December 15, to offer a reading course to Relief Society members. All are invited to be present at this meeting. The Manila ward will hold a dish carnival and dance tonight (Saturday) (Satur-day) at 8 p. m. for the purpose of buying dishes for ward use. Various kinds of refreshments will be sold. There will be dancing for the old and young. A fine time is planned for all. The Pleasant Grove Basketball team accompanied by Coach Richard6, Principal A. P. Warnick and Clifton Clark went to Salt Lake Tuesday to play the L. D. S. Basketball team. The score was 30 to 32 in favor of the Salt Lake school. A missionary shower was given Thursday evening in honor of Lola Robbins, who leaves soon for the Southern States mission, at the Robbins home. About thirty guests enjoyed games and social chat. A dainty luncheon was served. Many useful gifts were received by Miss Robbins for her missionary work. Mrs. C. P. Richie of Provo will entertain at a family dinner Sunday . in honor of her husband's birthday. The invited guests are all relatives from this city as follows: Mrs. Nettie Walker, Mr. and Mrs. A. K.
