Show High School Dramatic Art Students Present "Daddy Long Legs" The High School Auditorium was packed Friday evening to see "Daddy Long Legs" (presented by high school students under the direction of Miss Jewel Linebaugh assisted by Miss Arvilla Clark. Parents always appreciate ap-preciate the work of their children and as the cast was a large one many a parent's heart was made glad. The orphanage scene was realistic and brought back stories of early English life. Judy Abbot portrayed by Donna Olpin, the star part of the play, was enjoyed by the audience. Miss Gennieve Gen-nieve Fugal as Miss Pritchard was dignified and was different to the usual Gennieve. Randall Musgrove as Mr. Wykoff portrayed his role well. Samuel Smith as Mr. Parsons was true to the type and was enjoyed by the audience. Ray Fenton, as Mr. Pendleton, the guardian of Judy Abbot Ab-bot was the ideal bachelor sweetheart, sweet-heart, Ray looked the part as well as he acted it. Miss Alta Peterson as Mrs. Pendleton, the aristrocratic mother, showed plainly the difference wealth makes to some people. Edna Bullock, Margaret Stagg and Donna Olpin were ideal school chums and easily won their audience. That Gwen Farr will become a wonderful mother was shown by her part in "Daddv Long Legs". Her role was like Gwen will be when she is middle aged, from all present indications. Jimmie M'cBride the attentive sweetheart sweet-heart was a natural part for Earl Cullimore. Jean Smith as Carrie splendidly enacted her part. Elvin Downs made a fine looking doctor. Harold Clark did well with his part as Griggs. Brigham Van Wagoner would make you think of a butler in real life. His costume helped greatly great-ly in portraying his part. All parts were well rendered and patrons were pleased with the results re-sults of teachers and pupils alike in putting over this excellent entertain-j entertain-j ment. |
