Attorney W. F. Knox and wife of Beaver were here this week, the former form-er having business in the District Court. Dr. Smith, the Dentist, returned from a trip through the eastern settlements settle-ments of this county Thursday and reports re-ports doing a very good business. Drs. Smith & Charles, the Dentists, will be here for another week, and will probably remain here for the Fair. See them and get your teeth fixed. The Brevier House and St. George Hall are being fixed up for the Fair exhibits. The ground adjoining the former is being fenced for the live stock. Court Stenographer Cook enjoyed a day?s quail and cottontail hunting Thursday. Mr. Cook is a genial man who makes friends wherever he goes. It is not known here whether a sale of the Apex has been made or not. If no sale is effected, the smelter plant will be moved to the "Point'' in this city. Tom, the sixteen-year-old son of Arthur Nichols of Silver R-eef, while shooting last Sunday near Grapevine Springs was badly injured in the face by the bursting of a gunbarrel, A cattle Buyer is being anxiously looked for by the people of the up-river, settlements. They report their cattle in fine condition, and are wondering why buyers have not shown up. Mesdames A. C, Woodbury, Mary G, Whitehead, Rose Jarvis, and Elder Richard Morris left last Sunday for a tour of the settlements in the interests of the various Stake organisations. Andrew McNeil came in from the Copper Mountain mine Wednesday on account of the illness of his year-old boy. He reports development work progressing favorably at the mine, no ore being taken out at present for shipment, Little Jamie Alger, son of Samuel N. Alger, met with a sad accident while helping his father at the saw mill. While felling a tree he was accidentally caught underneath and broke his leg just below the knee. Dr. Pierson set the leg and he is now doing as well as possible. Price Advocate. Mrs. E. S. Horsley is expected home this week from St. George, where she has been since May last at the bedside of her father, who has been at death's door. He is snrticently improved to permit of her returning home, which will be welcome news to the many friends of the family. Price Advocate. Captain Adam Paul and Joseph Price returned Tuesday from the hitters copper cop-per prospect south of here. Mr. Paul says the prospect is a natural one (not a blowout or slide) in a sandstone formation, form-ation, and likely to develop into a good property. James Averett and Amos Carter were up from the sunny south this week on a trading expedition.
