Whjtnioje v; as hold at the family residence at 3 o'clock : liis afternoon. Bishop K. S. Rorsley of price ward officiating. The number in attendance wan the largest ever seen I at a funeral in Carbon county. Among ! the (speakers at the bier were Reuben G. Miller, provident of Emery stake and K. W, McEntire, both of whom paid beautiful tributes to the dead, and spoke words of comfort to the living'. Out of respect to the departed, every plaee of business in the city was closed during the afternoon. Among the relatives present from a distance were Mrs. James Xixon of St. George, mother of the deceased; Professor Pro-fessor J. W. Nixon of Huntington, a brother: Mrs. J. W. Foot and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Whit-more of Salt Lake City, and George W. Wbitmore and wife of Nephi. The remains were laid to rest in the private burying ground of the family at the home west of the city. |
