Show A Grand Affair. The ball and banquet of the Dixie Bohemian Club last evening- was a grand success. The Social Hall, wherein the banquet was served, was beautifully decorated with bunting-, tlao-s, cut flowers, bouquets, etc., while the floor of the New Hall was all that could be desired by the most fastidious dancer. The music was excellent. Fifty-seven members of the Club were present; the dresses of the gentlemen gentle-men being tasteful and those of the ladies elegant. The ball opened with a Grand March at 10 p. m., and dancing danc-ing was continued until 1 a. m., when the merry party adjourned to the banquet ban-quet hall where a sumptuous supper was served. After supper a short program pro-gram of song's, recitations, etc.. was rendered, after which dancing was resumed re-sumed until daylight this morning. Light refreshments, ice cream, melons, lemonade, cake, coffee, etc., were served serv-ed during the morning hours. The whole affair was very enjoyable, the management excellent, and a- huge success. |
