Show Milne takes Am. league lead Milne 3 0 Coleman 4 1 Rotary 2 3 Kiiwanls 1 2 Spils.-Graff 1 3 Carter Bros 1 3 Milne Truck Llne bounded into the lead In the American Little League during play this past week on the strength of an 8-7 victory over Coleman. The Milne crew had a big second inning in which they scored all eight of thedr runs Including a three run homer by Craig Jensen. Coleman came back but could not make up the difference. In other action for Milne they scored a 10-0 victory over Rotary. In that game Tod Pryor and Craig Jensen, on the mound for Milne put together to-gether a no-hie game in picking pick-ing up the victory. Bruce Hlskey also homered in the contest. Coleman stayed in contention conten-tion with two other victories during the week. They scored a 14 to 3 win over Rotary with D. Smith tripling for the top hit of the game. Also they scored a 15 to 2 victory over Kiwanis. Carter Brothers scored their first win of the season with a 10-6 win over Rotary despite a homer by Higfbee for Rotary in the fourth frame. Kiwaniis also came up with their first victory of the season sea-son with a 19-0 shutout over Spilsufory-Graff. Corry was the winning pitcher and he gave up only one hit In the contest. |
