Show ENOCH and MID-VALLEY NEWS By Mrs. Veda Matheon .... Mr. and Mrs. Brent Jones were in Provo and Salt Lake Thursday and Friday of last week. They went to help Mr. and Mrs. Jim Baird move to Provo where Jim has employment employ-ment and will continue his the Gaylen Matheson family and attend the Cedar High graduation after which they were accompanied home by Marie Matheson. Marie became be-came ill while there and spent a few days in St. Marks hospital hos-pital with an attack of ap. pendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jackson Jack-son and two daughters were here to visit with the Hunter Gibson family and also to attend at-tend the wedding and reception recep-tion for Richard and Cristal Gordon. Mr. an Mrs. Keith Maxwell received a visit Saturday from Mr. and Mrs. Phil Burnell and family from Cottonwood, Arizona. Ar-izona. The Maxwells and Burnells were friends in Get-many Get-many while both men served In the U. S. Army. Mrs. Carta Grimshaw and children spent last week In Pleasant Grove visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Price. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin MuTie were In Salt Lake part of last week where Elvin received a checkup and treatment at the VA hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Shaw and baby girl are visiting with Patricia's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Murie. The Shaw family has been In Germany with the U. S. Army. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Nelson and balby son have been vis. Iting here for the past week with the Dick Nelson family and helping them to move to St. George where Dick and Elaine are now going to make their home. Mark and Retta live in California where he is stationed with the Army. schooling. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Richardson Richard-son and family spent a few days In Provo visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Richard, son and their new baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. George Grimshaw Grim-shaw were ln Monfioello re-cently re-cently to attend the graduation gradua-tion of their grandson and then traveled into Colorado to visit with Beth's mother who recently suffered a broken hip. While visiting there they received re-ceived word of the death of Beth's aunt Mrs. May Gray-bill, Gray-bill, in California. Beth remained re-mained with her mother while George returned and went to California with his sons, Ste. ven and Richard. Upon returning re-turning home. George D. was hospitalized with a kidney 6tone attack, but is home now, much Improved. Mr. and Mrs. Olean Hatch and family are visiting here with George D. Grimshaw and other family members. Mr. and Mrs. Orion Sherratt and family ae visiting here from Arizona with the Elton Richardson family. Mrs. Rue Jones is tn the Val. ley View Medical Center recovering re-covering from surgery. Mrs. Ann Wilcken is at home after being hospitalized for surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Maxwell have a new balby girl born re. cently at the Valley View Medical Me-dical Center. Kathy Pace spent a few days in Las Vegas visiting with the Ted Kelsey family. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Johnson John-son werfi here to visit with Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson Mathe-son spent a day recently In Hurricane with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murie. Mr. and Mrs. Murie Mur-ie has their entire family together to-gether with Mr. and Mrs. Eon Bloxom and son Chris there for the week end from Sacra-mento, Sacra-mento, Calif, and Mr. and Mrs. David Jarvls from Arizona, Kelly Marie is home from school in Provo preparatory to leaving for an LDS mission. Tom and Sue Hoskins Hve in Hurricane, completing the family. The Murie family family were residents of Mid-valley Mid-valley for many years. Linda Jones has moved back from Provo, where she has worked for the past year and is now staying with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Jones. iMr. and Mrs. R. J. Christian, sen were in Salt Lake last week to attend graduation exercises at the University of Utah where their daughter, Cindy was listed among the graduates. Cindy returned with them for a week's stay. Eva Rae Grimshaw came from Mesa for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Grimshaw and to attend the birthday celebration for her grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Adams of Paowan. |
