Armstrong and son Sherman departed for the east last Thursday, to be gone a month or five weeks. They wil! visit frionds at bt. Louis, in Illinois and at Irving, Kan., before their return home. I 1 Miss Lizzie Waldon arrived in the Park Tuesday from Pocotello. whsre she has been engaged in the mercantile business for the past four years. She departed for Fossil, Wyo.. Friday afternoon, aft-ernoon, where she expects to remain for three months, after which she will return to the Park and remain permanently. perma-nently. Mr. Thomas Fanning is visiting in Salt Lake. PARK CITY. Rev. Father Morrissey preached an eloquent sermon at St. Mary's of the Assumption Sunday evening. Rev. Father Galligan returned from New York last Saturday. Rev. Father Morrissey left for Salt Lake Wednesday afternoon. Father Morrissy made a host of friends durinjr his short stay here, who were sorry to see him leave. The president of the A. O. H. and other members of the order are taking an active interest and doing all in their power to help Rev. Father Morrissey Mor-rissey make a success of the work given him by Bishop Scanlan that of getting get-ting the Catholic paper of the diocese into the homes of the Park City people peo-ple and they are only too glad to have an opportunity to show their willingness to do their share in promoting pro-moting anything that is for the good of religion. Miss Malone pleasantly entertained a few of her most intimate friends Tuesday Tues-day evening at the home of her mother, mo-ther, Mrs. A. Malone, Park avenue, in honor of Rev. Father Morrissey of Salt t Lake. The evening was spent in sing- j ing, instrumental music, games and i social conversation. That every one j had a jolly good time is putting it mildly. Light refreshments were 1 served. The guests were: Rev. Father I Morrissey, H. A. Malone, L. A- Malone, J. C. Kelly, Will Donovan, Lizzie Con- j nelly, Mary Shields, Veronica Fitzpat-rick, Fitzpat-rick, Genevieve Fitzpatrick and Minnie 1 Cunningham. Dave McQueen, from Salt Lake, spent Wednesday here on business. Miss Lizzie Walden, after a week's visit with her mother here, left last week for Fossil, -Wyo., where she intends in-tends residing for awhile. Mr. Tim Downey of Eureka is in the city and intends residing here. Miss Mary Shields, who has been visiting her parents here for the past two weeks, returned to Salt Lake yesterday. yes-terday. -S Mr. Pat Clark went to the metropolis Tuesday to spend a few days. Mr. John McQueeney spent' a few days in Salt Lake this week.- Mr. H. Connelly arrived Wednesday from Pccatello to visit with his parents par-ents here. . ': .
