Show ROCKYILlf Mrs. Newell DeMille Reporter Lieut. Lorin Langston was the princip;d speaker in our Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting. He is here on fur- lough aller one and a half years fighting in the Islands. He gave a very interesting talk on the customs cus-toms of the natives and their beautiful country. He is a navigator navi-gator and has had a great deal of experience in his work. He speaks well of the faith his comrades com-rades have in prayer. Primary conferecene was held Sunday with Ethel DeMille in charge of the program, which was given by the different classes. Peiry DeMille spent a few days last week in Hurricane. Jacob Da Ron spent the week end home with his family from his work in Las Vegas. Mrs. Nora Lester left Sunday for Las Vegas where she will visit relatives for two weeks. Tom Sevy arrived last Saturday from Salt Lake City. He returned Sunday, taking his wife and baby daughter back with him. Newell Crawford of Springdale was a speaker in our Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. Crawford has just recently been released from military service. Mrs. Dick Carlson was a visitor on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Arch Ballard. Carlson Terry, one of our outstanding out-standing students attending the Hurricane high school, won the U. P. Scholarship to the A. C. at Logan for the coming year. Carlson Carl-son is president of the F. F. A. at Jhe high school and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Terry. Mrs. Oscar DeMille, Grace Hir-schi Hir-schi and lone DeMille spent Wednesday Wed-nesday in St. George visiting relatives rela-tives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd DeMille and family have moved home from Las Vegas where they have been employed. em-ployed. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Spencer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jose Hoyt of Cedar City were Sunday visitors here. Lieut. Lorin Langston, Eva Hir-schi Hir-schi and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Langston spent Saturday in Pipe Valley visiting Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Langston. |
