Show SPRINGDALE Mrs. Arnold Ruesch Reporter Artho Christensen spent a few hours visiting here before leaving for California to enter the armed forces. Miss Beth Crawford has returned re-turned home from Salt Lake City. Othell Gifford left Sunday for California on account of the illness ill-ness of his father, W. H. Gifford. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dennett and family spent Sunday in Fre-donia. Fre-donia. Arland Udell returned home from the armed forces, where he was in training at Fort Lewis. He has received his deferment. Mrs. Amelia J. Gifford, known to many as "Aunt Jane", has been seriously ill. She has six boys and during her illnes she had been, pleasure of having her family home with her. All six boys are engaged in war work, four are in the Army and the other two are in defense work. Larkin Gifford, Alvin Allred and Sterling Seegmiller attended Conference Con-ference in Salt Lake City. Valgene Olsen is able to be around again after her operation. Mrs. Adelia Langston was operated op-erated on in the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake City for goiter. She is doing as well as can be expected. ex-pected. A division of the Army passed through here Sunday and spent Sunday and Monday here in the Park. They attended school Monday Mon-day and entertained the school with singing and talking. Mr. and Mrs. James Crawford and Dan Winder returned from California. Mrs. Winder remained on the Coast with her daughter, who is still seriously ill. |
