Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Preston Bradshaw have moved back here to their home. They have spent the past year at Ogden, where he has had employment in defense work. Mr. and Mrs. Horace DeMille of Sparks, Nev., are here visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cornelius. Pvt. and Mrs. Leonard Wilcox are home on furlough from Pendleton Pen-dleton Field, Ore. His mother, Mrs. Thelma Wilcox, who has been very ill, is improving at this time. Alma Flannigan and Evan Lee are attending the L. D. S. Conference Confer-ence at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Niles Earl has returned from Boise, Ida., where she has been visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Conal Jones and son. Mr. and Mrs. William Matthews have moved to Smyth's ranch for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wilcox and son, Lee, and wife and baby and Mrs. William Brinkerhoff have gone to Burbank and Hollywood, Calif., to visit with their children. Lee Wilcox has been inducted into the U. S. armed forces. A farewell party will be given for him Wednesday night. Venice Spendlove Marries Word has been received here of the marriage of Second Lieut. Venice Spendlove to Lieut. Gen. John L. Cleary. She is the daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Sarah Spendlove of Virgin and is stationed at the hospital hos-pital at Camp White, Ore. She is a graduate nurse, having graduated from the L. D. S. hospital hos-pital in May, 1939, and spent four years nursing there. She' was called into service by the Red Cross and stationed at Camp Roberts, Rob-erts, Calif., in May 1942. |
