Show EOwcsgiis set infer-stnte art bouquet togiiglit One of the larger functions this month in connection with the national art exhibit, is the Springville Kiwanis Club annual an-nual inter-club art banquet at 7 p.m., this evening, announces announ-ces President Robert G. Sumsion. Sum-sion. Kiwanians and their part- ners from all parts of the state! are expected to attend, representing rep-resenting clubs in Salt Lake, Richfield, Ogden, Midvale, Pro-vo, Pro-vo, Price, Payson, Spanish Fork, Pleasant Grove, Springville Spring-ville and other towns. Eldon L. Reese, vice president presi-dent of the Springville club, is in charge of arrangements. The program will feature Prof. David Dalton of BYU, formerly of Springville, in violin vio-lin selections. Talks will be given by Stanley Burningham and Rell Francis, Springville arte instructors and paintings by the two artists will be given giv-en as attendance prizes during the evening. Officials expected to attend, include: LeRoy Olsen, international interna-tional trustee; Denzil A. Brown, governor of Utah-Idaho district; Jack Swenson, Lt. Governor, District 1; John A. Clawson of Pocatello, Idaho, executive secretary. Art pallets and spring flowers flow-ers will be used in tables and hali- decorations, directed by Venna Reese with Mrs. Robert Sumsion, Mrs. Maurice Bird, Mrs. Taylor Reynolds, Mrs. Berton Groesbeck and Mrs. Howard Maycock, assisting. Kiwanis Club officers are planning for a large crowd comparative to the 333 who attended the banquet last year. Springville Playhouse Memoers of the board of directors of the Springville Playhouse will meet Tuesday, April 26 at 8:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Frank Springer. AD-, and Mrs. J. M. Cranmer have returned from a two weeks vacation visit with their family and other relatives in California. They spent Easter at Reseda with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Cranmer and family and a week at Oxnard, with Mr. and Mrs. N. K. Cranmer and family. fam-ily. Mrs. , Madge Clayson of Spanish Fork, a niece of Mrs. Cranmer returned with them after spending the winter on the coast. |
