Show Julie Andrews has print in theatre block Academy Award winning star, Julie Andrews, has become be-come the 151st star to have her footprints placed in cement ce-ment at Grauman's Chinese Theatre according to the announcement an-nouncement from John Taylor manager of the Academy The world famous theatre is a part of the same theatre circuit cir-cuit as the Academy Theatre. Hosts at the ceremony were Eugene Klein, president of National Na-tional General Corp., and Irving Irv-ing H. Levin, Executive Vice President. Mrs. Levin is also head of Carthay Center productions pro-ductions packaging and production pro-duction arm of National General, Gen-eral, soon to start production on motion picture feature films. The custom of footprinting the stars began when Norma Talmage visited the theatre during construction and acci-dently acci-dently stepped into a square of wet cement. Sid Grauman the theatre impressario, had the block of cement taken up and set into the forecourt as a memento starting a custom that made the Chinese theatre one of the greatest tourist at-ractions at-ractions in California.
