Show v I V v J , V- "i. VOLUNTEER OFFICERS 1 Oakridge Country Club was the location of a beautiful awards luncheon held March 12, for the Lakeview Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. THE NEW officers for the coming year were also elected. elect-ed. They are as follows: Margaret Mar-garet Nelson, president; Louise Rohwer, presidentelect; president-elect; Renee LeSueur, vice-; vice-; president; Glenna Smith, ; treasurer; Catherine Willey, recording secretary; Ann j Winn, corresponding secre tary; and Marlene Argyle, historian. The awards were given to those having 100 hours, 500 hours, 1000 hours and 2000 hours. THOSE receiving their 500 hour pins wore Connie Leish-man, Leish-man, Virginia Robins, Renee . LeSueur, Alice McDermott, Catherine Willey. Those receiving their 1000 hour pins were Margaret Nelson, Marilyn Peart and Ruby Irv- New officers of the Lakeview Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary include, 1 to r, Ruth Gailey, director of volunteers; Louise Rohwer, president-elect; Ann Winn, corresponding secretary; Margaret Nelson, president; Glenna Smith, treasurer; Renee Le Sueur, vice president; Marlene Argyle, historian. Not present for picture, Catherine Willey, recording secretary. ing. And the 2000 hour pins were given to June Sparks and Iva McDonald. Since the South Davis Community Com-munity Hospital opened in 1961 many thousands of hours have been donated by the ladies of our community. BESIDES the numerous hours that have been donated the auxiliary has also donated many gifts to the hospital, the most recent being a recharageable, electric razor, and an infant seat for the pediatric ward. Many new services have also been provided such as a refrigerated unit for fresh flowers and a new magazine and book cart. A special tribute was given to Iva Atterbury Thompson McDonald. Iva is 79 years old and started as a charter member of the volunteer auxiliary in 1961. She is the only charter member of the auxiliary today. She has donated 2.061 hours of service to others. |
