Show Cleanup Fire? Permit First Environmental Health Director Richard Harvey warned that Davis County residents who start fires without permits from the Davis County Environmental Health Department can be cited cit-ed for violation. HE SAID that now the burning burn-ing season is beginning, residents must call for a burning burn-ing permit, which is issued through the County Health Department in Farmington. ' The permits, which are valid for one day only, are issued only for agricultural burning. They are available only to those who own more than two acres ot ground or 10 or more fruit trees. CLIPPINGS from shrubs and shade trees may be burned, he said, but garbage is not permitted. Mr. Harvey said recreational recrea-tional campfires are allowed, but warned that those desiring to burn should not "try to skirt the law by calling trash fires recreational fires." NO FIRES having larger than an eight foot fire ring are allowed, even with a burning permit, Mr. Harvey said. Any person leaving a fire unattended is also liable for damages, Mr. Harvey warned.
