The bride and groom are former for-mer students of the Brigham Young University and Kent has also filled an LDS mission in the Northern States, where he mot Miss Mahoney. He expects to leave early in December for service with the army. Mrs. Kent C. Here for the wedding are the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Jes-se A. Thornton and family of Council Bluffs, who came also to attend the Open House being given to honor the young couple Friday evening at the Crandall home. A wedding gown of white crystal cry-stal silk with underlay of pink taffetta was chosen by the bride for the all-important date. The dress was fashioned with tight fitting fit-ting bodice and inverted V-panel of lace and tulle ruffles down the back of the ballerina length skirt. The bride's "veil of illusion fell from a crown of seed-pearls and sequins. Her bouquet consisted of a single white orchid on a white Bible. Attending the bride at the Open House will be her sister Bernell Thornton of Provo and Council Bluffs, who will be maid of honor, while Evelyn Crandall, sister of the groom and Ann Tripp of Council Bluffs will be bridesmaids. Their gowns will be in French and deep blue shades respectively with contrasting con-trasting pink feathered-carnation corsages. Ronald Van Leuvan will be best man to the groom. Friends of the bride will alternate in serving and attending to the guest book, and parents of the couple will assist in greeting guests. After Thanksgiving the newly-weds newly-weds will go to Council Bluffs, where a reception is planned for |
