Brookside had many parents as visitors. In Mrs. Lewis's first grade we had two special treats and Mrs. Anderson's first grade was invited both days to share. On one day Fay C. Packard, president of the Springville Banking company, came and talked to the children about thrift and about how banks take care of the money that we save by depositing it with them. On another day, Mrs, Lois Anderson Ander-son came and gave the children the story of the Childhood of Hiawatha. Hi-awatha. She told this so well that the children were really thrilled about the Indian boy and his wild animal friends. Mrs . Birmingham and Miss Carson, who is training with Mrs. Burningham, prepared a very fine . exhibit of Indians and their crafts. |
