The Chamber operates a full service information center - 6 days a week during ski season - 5 days a week the rest of the year. STATISTICS: we receive 1,000 written enquires a year our office answers over 10,000 telephone requests annually an-nually on an average day we may have anywhere from 5-20 visitors in the office. The Chamber works closely with Central Reservations to help our guests plan their entire stay -lodging, banquets etc. If you've any questions, please call us. Shirley and Amanda are at the office Monday through Friday. ifif Chamber Made The Chamber would like to thank the community for their overwhelming support of this year's Winter Kick Off. We hope you enjoyed seeing old friends, meeting new ones and just plain socializing in the spirit of "old Park City". In addition to the marvelous attendance, a special thanks is due local businesses who so generously donated the exciting prizes. ..and thanks also to individuals indivi-duals like Roger Haran of Moana who solicited those Grand Prizes that were the major attractions to this years party. Another feature of this years dinner was the awards presented to three businesses who "contributed "contri-buted measurably to the economic econo-mic stability and growth of the Park City Community during the 1977 year". A special award was given Craig Badami a JUPITER Bowl - in light of the tremendous promotion promo-tion given this ski area this season. KICKING OFF MEMBERSHIP The Chamber of Commerce appreciates and encourages the inception of new business within the Park City community and applaudes the energy and strengths streng-ths of the old who weather and grow even in the face of the sometimes instable seasons. In an effort to perpetuate the business community, the Chamber especially espe-cially welcomes the newly established estab-lished businesses to town this season and encourages them and any other non-members to become be-come a part of our team... working together we can continue to grow as an alert and resourceful business community. The following is an explanation of what we have done, what we are currently doing and what we plan to do. These should offer some concrete reasons for supporting sup-porting the Chamber with membership mem-bership this year. We are a strong, vital business organization hard at work to make Park City a better place to live, work and invest your future. We have already accomplished this year's goal - the establishment establish-ment of a Central Information and Reservation Center for Park City, which has been tremendously successful. The Chamber of Commerce and Central Reservations Reserva-tions staffs work closely together daily and the installation of a direct telephone line between the two offices has made our two agencies even more effective. This year's goal is to UNIFY PROMOTION FOR THE PARK CITY AREA by: working for promotional monies from available agencies, such as Utah Travel Council, Mountainlands, Summit County Travel Council, Park City Municipal Munici-pal Corporation, Utah State Division of Fine Arts and many more. offering promotional advantages advant-ages to Chamber of Commerce members. assisting the Park City business community in cooperative coopera-tive advertising projects. stimulating communication among Park City business community com-munity persons. More Reasons to Participate The following are ongoing advantages available to Chamber of Commerce members. PROMOTIONAL BENEFITS: some examples privelege of displaying Chamber "membership seal" -plus all Chamber of Commerce placed advertising will mention "support businesses displaying this seal" a 50 discount advertising rate was offered to Chamber members in the fall and special winter edition of Utah Holiday magazine Park City Chamber of Commerce Com-merce members will be "exclusively" "exclu-sively" listed on a new Chamber produced, tourist oriented Park City area map. Map will be developed in stages on an overlay concept to provide a variety of uses. Base map will include major streets in Historic District, Resort area, Mt. Air Mall, Prospector Square and Park Meadows. Overlays will include landmarks, lodges, restaurants, shops and other pertinent retailers retail-ers and service businesses and facilities. Chamber of Commerce will produce for members owning or managing Private clubs and Restaurants serving liquor, a tourist liquor guide - most valuable since the recent ruling that Private Clubs and Restaurants Restaur-ants MAY NOT ADVERTISE liquor availability. Due to an active voice in Mountainlands - Assoc. of Governments, Go-vernments, Park City is receiving assistance in production of an Inventory Brochure - listing businesses and services in our area. This publication can be used alone or as an insert in Summit County and Mountainlands publications. publi-cations. Scheduled for publication December 15, 1977.
