Show Panthers Advancing The Park City Panthers blanked the Golden Spikers, 4-0, last Saturday at City Park and advanced to the semi-finals of the Utah Junior Soccer Association tournament. The Panthers will meet the powerful Pioneer Cavaliers this Thursday at Bell View Elementary Elemen-tary School, 9800 South 800 East, Sandy, at 4:15 p.m. to determine who will play the winner of the Germania Eagles - Wasatch encounter for the championship. The play against the Golden Spikers was one-sided and somewhat on the sloppy side. Two goals were scored on miscues by the Spiker Goalie, and the visitors managed very few shots against Panther goalie Mike Jarosz. A very fine assist was made by Right Outside Trent Leavitt, who worked the ball down the right sidelines and then booted the ball the length of the goal mouth before Left Outside Ricky Williams Will-iams tapped it in. Center half-back Stephen Holmsen also scored on an excellent boot. The final two goals were scored by Left Inside Paul Mawhinney 1 and Center-Forward Alex Holm-sen. Holm-sen. The Spiker game was the second of a double-header, the Panthers having dropped their final regular-season game to an inspired Wasatch team, 5-0. Missing from both games was high-scoring Right-Inside Steve Toly who sustained a sprained ankle but will be able to play in the Pioneer game on Thursday. '''- i " ' " M " ' .
