Christy a Maori youth who played with the Business College showed up pretty strong at times but his head work was not always of the best Only a few people went down to sea the game Most of them were High School The game proved much of a disappointment The people of Salt Lake had been misled into believing one of the crack teams of Denver was coming when Instead a team which at no period of the game showed Itself to be in the same class with the locals was brought over The onesided score of 34 to 0 resulted and the game was such a walkaway that after the first down the interest was gone The Denver team proved to be wretchedly poor on defense and did not show enough generalship to get hold of the ball by kicking out of o bounds thui allowing Its offensive game to be used until too late to donny do-nny good After the fine team which came from Denver last year the public here expected to see a good close con test but as it happened here many o time and oft In the past the confid ing public was thrown down One result re-sult of the game will doubtless bo to compel local teams to send elsewhere for visiting teams another season It will probably be bard to get Salt Lakers to turn out to oce another I game with a Denver team The Y M C A team now wants to I I meet the winner of the Thanksgiving game The Y M C A claims tho State championship and as It Is the challenger and has organizations togo to-go into the Universitys athletic fund has been advanced The location 1 would be an admirable one for football baseball and nil kinds of field sports I and it is believed definite action I looking to the establishment of a line athletic Held there will be taken In the near future The new University will have need for some kind of an athletic field and the Idea of making onu that could be used by other organizations Is Is believed will meet with general I favor The location on the hill would be an advantage not possessed by any I athletic field now In exlatence here The elevation would Insure the maximum I maxi-mum dryness of ground at all times which would certainly be a boon to players Patrons of the sports would I I be able to ride In the cars right to I the gates of the field Adequate seating seat-ing arrangements could be Installed and the trnck instead of being a I source of expense to the University could bo made a source of profit as certainly if the grounds were placed In good condition and the accommodations accommoda-tions arranged to correspond the now field would secure the cream of the good attractions The idea It Is believed will assume a
