On last Saturday a son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ferguson. The child lived only until Tuesday. Last Friday afternoon a number of ladies were entertained at the home of Mrs. D. Ferguson, the event being in honor of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jack Ferguson. Miss Gertrude Evans and Mrs. E. B. Johnstone entertained the teachers teach-ers of the faculty at the home of Mrs. Henry Jefferson lastSaturday afternoon. All had a tlelightful time. Mrs. C. C. Sloan is entertaining the Priscilla Club this afternoon. The affair is specially in honor of Mrs. E. H. Street, who is so soon to leave Milford for her new home in the north. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Cody spent Sunday and Monday with the family of W. F. Cottrell. Mr. Cody used to be agent here. He has accepted the position of agent for the Salt Lake Route at Lund. Mrs. J. M. Williams and Mrs. Evans entertained the O. E. S. Club at the home of the former Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. Bridge was the principal prin-cipal amusement and the prizes were won by Mrs. "Berknimer and Mrs. C. Barton. Dainty refreshments were served late in the afternoon. Mrs. Joest of the Forgie Apartments Apart-ments has put in some very substantial substan-tial improvements, including cement walks and yard improvements, and because of the considerable amount of travel along the streets near the apartments believes that corner is entitled to an electric street light. The matter will be presented to the town hoard. There will be a reception and banquet ban-quet given in honor of the new pastor, pas-tor, Dr. Ownby, a the Methodist church tonight.
