Show MINERSVILLE NOTES A very pleasant party was given to the outgoing officers of the Minersville Min-ersville Primary by the newly chosen officers: Mrs. Nellie Eyre, president; and Mrs. Ella Wood and Mrs. Ernest Eyre, councillors, The party, which was intended as a surprise, was attended at-tended by some thirty couples, including in-cluding the teachers and officers of the Primary and members of the old andnew Bishopric. The guests of honor were Mrs. Emma Eyre, president, presi-dent, and Mrs. Mary E. Matthews and Mrs. Alba Gillins, councillors. After a program of dancing and games, an "appetizing hot lunch was served by the hostesses. A daughter was born to Mr. and: Mrs. W. A. Joseph last Monday. - Wm. Woods is reported as being very ill in Salt Lake City. A party of friends celebrated the eighteenth birthday of Irma Blackburn Black-burn by giving her a surprise party Saturday evening after the Red Cross benefit picture show. Sim Murdock returned last week from a trip to southern California. At a special meeting of the Red Cross held last Friday evening the yarn was given out, and the enthusiasm enthusi-asm for the knitting of Red Cross outfits for the soldiers has spread rapidly among the women of Minersville. At the meeting of the Teachers' Training class of the Sunday school last Tuesday it was decided to change the time of meeting to 7:30 o'clock on Monday evening, beginning begin-ning December 3rd. The Relief Society was in charge of the two o'clock church service ' last Sunday, at which Mrs. Solomon Walker, Mrs. Steve Hollingshead and I. D. Stewart were the speakers. The meeting this week will be in charge of the Mutual 'Improvement Associations. |
