Show OPEN DOORS TO UTAH BOYS; TACOMA SHOWS HOSPITALITY Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 12, 1917. Editor, The Telegram, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Sir: Among the .thousands of men In Camp Lewis, Tapoma, Wash., there may be some men from your city who find camp life monotonous and lone-j lone-j ly, and who would enjoy making ' friends in the city. WTe have many people here who are anxious to be of service and who would gladly open their homes to the soldiers. If there : are mothers and fathers in your city who would like to have us look up their boys and to interest them in church, lodge, home or club, I am sure we shall count it a privilege to do so. However, if the boy has not ! written, send us his name, j I am writing only to the papers in I the larger cities in your state and I shall be very glad to have you give this letter as prominent a place as possible and also to ask your country I papers to copy, j Yours very truly, j RAY F. CARTER, I Executive Secretary, Tacoma, Com-! Com-! mittee for Recreation of Soldiers, 1017 A street, Tacoma Bldg., Ta- coma. Wash. i |
