Show Lilly M. Petty Spendlove Dies Suddenly In Iron County Hospital HURRICANE, Utah. Death came suddenly Saturday, Mar. 13, at the Iron county hospital to Lilly Mae Petty Spendlove of Hurricane. Hurri-cane. Bom in Rockville, July 17, 1893, she was a daughter of Frank H. and Sarah Jane Petty. The family fam-ily moved to Hurricane. She married mar-ried George I. Spendlove in the St. George Temple. Throughout her life she has been an active L. D. S. church worker, serving in the Relief Society presidency of the Hurricane North ward for several sev-eral years, and on the home bound committee, as well as ward visiting visit-ing teacher. At the time of her death she was a Bee Hive teacher in M.I. A. Surviving besides her husband are seven children: Earl, in the U. S. armed forces; Mrs. Shirley Glore, Clark, George Jr., Ruth, La-Dean, La-Dean, Ethelyn and Dorothy Spendlove, Spend-love, all of Hurricane; three brothers, broth-ers, Dr. Frank H. Petty, Cedar City; Charles B. Petty, Salt Lake City, Dr. Edgar Petty, Burbank, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie DeMille, Monroe; and Mrs. Ethel Baker of Fillmore. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday, Mar. 17 at 3 p. m., by Bishop Allen J. Stout. |
