Show Funeral Services Held Here for Miss Vera Snyder Thursday Counselor Carl L. Moss of the South ward bishopric conducted funeral services in the South ward chapel, Thursday, Mar. 11, at 4:30 p.m., for Miss Vera Snyder, who died Tuesday morning previous, from acute attack of asthma after a prolonged illness. There were many floral offerings. Mrs. Ada Cannon presided at the pipe organ and accompanied the musical numbers which included includ-ed two vocal duets, "Sometime We'll Understand", and "Wanted On the Other Side", by Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Miles; and vocal solos, "Prayer Is the Soul's Sincere Desire", De-sire", special request number, by M e 1 b a Baker; and "Love At Home",'iy Vernon Worthen. Speakers were Abram Bundy, life-long associate of the family; Irvin Alldridge and Bishop Andrew An-drew McArthur. All told of the patient, uncomplaining life of the deceased, of her- skill in sewing, cooking and other work, her love for her parents, brothers and sisters, sis-ters, and her faith in her religion and appreciation for all that was done for her in her frequent and severe suffering. Mrs. Lucy Esplin read an original or-iginal poem of tribute and consolation. conso-lation. Prayers were by James Nelson and Herman Roper. On Friday morning family members mem-bers and friends accompanied the body to Mt. Trumbull for brief graveside services and burial in the family grave plot at that place. |
